3.20 Setting up BACnet communication
Note
The BACnet functionality will only be available, if the Modbus functionality
is deactivated.
To enable the communication over BACnet / IP in the local network, some adjust-
ments have to be made in the BACnet menu.
In order to setup the BACnet communication, proceed as follows:
1. In the Configuration main menu, select the BACnet submenu.
2. Activate the BACnet functionality.
3. Enter the corresponding number in the BACnet Device Instance ID field.
The BACnet Device Instance ID is assigned by the user or the planner of the
building management system.
Î If necessary, change the port (factory setting 47808) in the BACnet Port field.
The BACnet Port is assigned by the user or the planner of the building manage-
ment system.
The current configuration is shown under Installed configuration.
Î In order to upload a configuration, click on Select and select the desired con-
figuration.
If a matching configuration has been uploaded but not yet installed, it will be indi-
cated under Matching built-in configuration.
Î In order to install a matching built-in configuration, click Apply.
Information about built-in and installed configurations can be downloaded as an
EDE file.
Î In order to download a EDE file containing data points made available, click
Download EDE.
3.21 Carrying out a firmware update
The firmware is the internal software of the device.
Note
Previous configurations will not be affected by a firmware update.
The installation of a firmware update has to be confirmed manually.
ATTENTION!
Damage to the device!
Î The power supply and the network connection to the device
must not be disconnected during the update process, as this
can cause damage to the device!
If the device is connected to the Internet, it automatically checks for available up-
dates. If an update is available, it will be downloaded. Updates available are displayed
on the display of the device as well as in the Web interface. The installation of an
update has to be confirmed manually.
Î In order to start the update query manually, click on the Query updates but-
ton in the Configuration main menu, General submenu.
Update via the device
If an update is available, an enquiry will appear on the display of the device. The
following selection can be made:
• Never: The update will not be carried out, the enquiry will be deactivated.
• Later: The enquiry will be postponed to a later point in time.
• Now: The update will run immediately.
Update via the Web interface
An update can also be confirmed in the Web interface of the device.
Î In order to confirm the update, select the Configuration main menu and click
the General submenu.
Î In the Firmware update are, click the Install button.
Manual updates
If an update file is available, it can be carried out by means of a computer via the
Web interface.
In order to carry out firmwares updates, proceed as follows:
1. In the Configuration main menu, select the General submenu.
2. In the Firmware update area, click the menu item Upload.
3. Click the Select button and select the update file.
4. Under Version uploaded, click the Install button.
