8.1
Assembling/removing the suction
adapter (5) (Fig. 2)
1. Fit the suction adapter (5) by pushing it into the con-
nection for the suction adapter (6) so that the lock (5a)
engages.
2. To remove the suction adapter (5), press the lock (5a)
and pull the suction adapter (5) out of the connection
for the suction adapter (6).
8.2
Connection to an external dust
extraction system (Fig. 2)
ATTENTION
The dust extraction system must be suitable for the ma-
terial to be processed.
Use a special extraction device to extract particularly
harmful or carcinogenic dusts.
1. Connect a dust extraction system* to the suction
adapter (5).
* = may not be included in the scope of delivery!
8.3
Adjusting the front handle (1)
(Fig. 1)
1. Loosen the Allen screw (1a) on the joint of the front
handle (1). Use the Allen key (A).
2. Set the handle (1) to the desired position.
3. Retighten the Allen screw (1a).

Notes:
• Always hold the product tight with both hands
during work. Make sure that you have a secure foot-
ing.
• Prior to commissioning, all covers and safety devices
must be mounted correctly. Damaged or illegible stick-
ers must be replaced.
• Before connecting of the product, make certain that
the data on the type plate matches with the mains
power data.
• Remember that when the starter mechanism with mo-
torised machines is commissioned, the cutting tool al-
so starts operating.
• Never operate the product with defective Protective
devices or without safety devices.
• Before switching on, make sure that the product does
not touch any objects.
• Lift the product slightly before switching it on.
• Check the material to be processed for foreign objects
such as nails, screws etc. and remove them.
• Make sure that the surface to be treated is dust-free
and dry.
• After switching on, wait until the product has reached its
maximum speed. Only then should you start working.
9.1
Switching the product on/off (Fig. 1)
1. Always hold the product with one hand on the front
handle (1) and the other on the rear handle (3).
Switching on
1. Push the ON/OFF switch (2) forwards and hold it
there. For safety reasons, it is not possible to lock the
ON/OFF switch (2).
Switching off
1. Release the ON/OFF switch (2) to switch the product
off.
2. Wait until the product has come to a standstill before
switching it off.
9.2
Adjusting the paint removal depth
(Fig. 1)
1. Place the product on its side on a flat surface.
2. Press and hold the locking button (9) to lock the cutter
head (10).
3. Use the Allen key (A) to set the paint removal depth
on the paint removal depth adjustment (11).
