10.2 Fill up petrol
m Attention!
The product is delivered without petrol. It is there-
fore essential to fill with petrol before commission-
ing.
1.
Clean the area surrounding the filling area. Impuri-
ties in the tank lead to operational faults.
2.
Open the fuel filler cap (10).
3.
Fill the tank with petrol using a funnel*. In doing so,
note the max. filling capacity of 1 litres.
4.
Close the fuel filler cap (10) again and check that
everything is tight.
5.
Remove excess fuel from the filler area.
6.
Check the fuel tank and lines for leaks.
7.
Move at least three meters away from the refuel-
ling area before starting the engine.
Do not use petrol that has already been used or that
is contaminated. Do not allow dirt or water to enter the
fuel tank.
10.3 Fill the air filter housing with oil (Fig. 8)
Use oil type SAE 10W-30 /10W-40 for this. Only fill the
oil into the container provided for this purpose.
1.
Loosen the wing nut (17a) on the air filter cover
(17).
2.
Remove the air filter cover (17).
3.
Fill the container with oil up to the mark.
4.
Now refit the air filter cover (17) with the wing nut
(17a).
10.4 Adjust the height of the brushes (8) (Fig. 11)
The working height of the brushes (8) is set using the
height adjustment on the track rollers (7).
1.
Prop the product up so that you have enough
space to pull out the track rollers (7) downwards.
2.
Pull the locking split pin (7a) out of the mounting
tube of the track roller (7).
3.
Remove the support ring (7c). Now pull out the
track roller (7) downwards.
4.
To adjust the working height, remove one or more
plastic rings (7b) from the mounting tube of the
track roller (7). Keep the excess plastic rings (7b)
in a safe place.
5.
Now push the mounting tube back through both
holes of the holder from below.
6.
Now refit the support ring (7c) and the locking split
pin (7a) in the mounting tube.
7.
Repeat the process on the other side. Ensure that
both track rollers (7) are set to the same height.
10.5 Check the tyre pressure
A tyre pressure of 2 bar (30 psi) is recommended.
Check the tyre pressure regularly. Long standing times
and sunlight contribute to rapid ageing of the tyres.
Note: If you notice that the tyres or wheels are dam-
aged, please contact the customer service or a spe-
cialist workshop.
10.6 Check before commissioning
• Check all sides of the engine for oil or fuel leaks.
• Check the condition of the air filter (17).
• Carry out a visual inspection for damage.
• Check that all protective covers are in place and all
screws, nuts and bolts are tightened.
11. Commissioning
Do not operate the product on a bumpy or sloping road.
Be careful to avoid slipping and falling, especially when
working backwards with the machine.
11.1 Set the working height of the upper push bar
(2)
1.
Loosen the star grip (adjusting device) (5) until the
height of the upper push bar (2) can be adjusted.
2.
Set the upper push bar (2) to a position that you
find comfortable. In doing so, ensure that the
height is set uniformly on both sides.
3.
Re-tighten the star grip (adjustment device) (5)
hand-tight. Make sure that the teeth of the inner
(5b) and outer adjusting device (5c) engage with
each other.
11.2 Start the engine (Fig. 8)
Check the petrol and engine oil level before every start.
Make sure that the spark plug connector (16) is con-
nected to the spark plug.
1.
With the engine cold, move the choke lever (18) in
the direction of the red arrow.
2.
Set the fuel valve (19) to the "ON" position.
3.
Set the on/off switch to "ON".
4.
Set the throttle lever (11) to the centre position.
5.
Start the engine with the pull starter (15). To do
this, pull out the handle of the pull starter (15) until
you feel resistance. Now give the handle a firm and
smooth pull. If the engine has not started, repeat
the process. Close the choke lever after a short
period of running.
6.
You can now set the throttle lever (11) to a desired
position to regulate the drive speed.
