Environmental protection – DIRECTIVE
To protect the environment and people's health, it is
important for everyone, including all suppliers and users,
to follow specific guidelines for the disposal of electrical
appliances at the end of their life.
This is why your appliance's indicator plate is marked with the symbol
reminding you to never dispose of it in any public or private bin
meant for household rubbish.
When disposing of your appliance, it is your responsibility to take
it to a public collection centre that is dedicated to the recycling of
electrical or electronic equipment. For more information on collection
and recycling centres for discarded appliances, contact your local
authorities, the local waste collection service, or the shop where
you purchased your appliance.

USER INSTRUCTIONS
FIRST USE
When unpacking your appliance, be sure to carefully remove any
*
cushioning materials as well as bags and packaging labels.
Check that all the parts and accessories are present and have
*
no defects.
Fully unwind the power cord and carefully examine it before use.
*
Before using your appliance, thoroughly clean the hotplate with
*
soapy water to remove any residue from the packaging. Dry carefully.
A new appliance may emit smoke or odours when used for the
*
first time. To reduce smoke and odours, it is recommended to heat
the appliance while empty for
it to cool for around
30
minutes.
You can then season the plate, which not only helps to protect
*
it, but also makes it non-stick. To season the hotplate, clean the
plancha plate using alcohol vinegar, then spread a slice of lard
or pig fat over the surface of the hot plate. Once is it covered in
grease, a brown stain will form. The hotplate is now seasoned
and ready to use.
NB: It is normal to hear crackling sounds and to notice a slight

deformation of the plate when using the product due to
thermal expansion.
