GETTING STARTED AND USE
Place the appliance on a firm, flat and heat-resistant surface.
*
The appliance is suitable for outdoor use. It can be used indoors
*
under an extraction hood.
Adjust the feet to the type of cooking desired.
*
• Without unscrewing the feet, the cooking area will be almost
level, with a very slight forward tilt that allows the grease and
cooking juices to drain, for classic plancha cooking.
• By unscrewing the front feet, you tilt the plancha backwards
and therefore preserve all the cooking juices, for example when
cooking mussels marinière.
• By unscrewing the back feet, you facilitate the drainage of the
cooking juices to the grease tray for healthier cooking, for example
when cooking duck breasts.
Be careful to adjust the feet two by two, in order to avoid
creating imbalance, that is either the two front feet or the
two back feet.
At each use, turn the plancha on by pressing the on/off button and
*
leave it to pre-heat for
10
minutes at the desired cooking temperature.
It is not necessary to preheat above the desired temperature.
For
35
and
50
models: the white light comes on when the appliance
*
is switched on, in other words, when the on/off button is pressed.
The light turns red as the appliance heats up. The white light
switches back on when the set temperature is reached.
For the
60
model: The white light comes on when the appliance
*
is turned on, in other words, when the on/off button is pressed.
The red light(s) come(s) on when the temperature of the appliance
rises and switch(es) off when the requested temperature is reached.
Oil the surface of the hotplate using a pastry brush.
*
Warning: do not cut foot on the hotplate as this may cause
*
deep scratches.
Do not overheat the cooking plate, as this may cause it to
*
turn black and make it hard to clean.
Remember to regularly empty the grease collection tray to
*
prevent it from overflowing.
Adjust the thermostat to the right temperature for the type of food
*
you want to cook, and according to your cooking preferences.
