Unpacking
WARNING
The product and the packaging material are not
children's toys!
Do not let children play with plastic bags, films or
small parts! There is a danger of choking or suffo-
cating!
• Open the packaging and carefully remove the product.
• Remove the packaging material, as well as the pack-
aging and transport safety devices (if present).
• Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
• Check the product and accessory parts for transport
damage. Immediately report any damage to the trans-
port company that delivered the Product. Later claims
will not be recognised.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the
warranty period.
• Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the
operating manual before using for the first time.
• With accessories as well as wearing parts and re-
placement parts use only original parts. Spare parts
can be obtained from your specialist dealer.
• When ordering please provide our article number as
well as type and year of manufacture for the product.

Before commissioning
WARNING
Danger of injury!
Only insert the mains plug into the socket when the
product is ready for use.
ATTENTION
Product damage!
If the product is operated without oil or with too little oil
or with used oil, this can lead to product damage.

Fill with oil before starting the machine. The product
is delivered without oil.

Do not use used oil!

Check the oil level before each operation.
WARNING
Tool attachments may be sharp and become hot during
use. Always wear protective gloves when handling the
tool attachments.
WARNING
Always make sure that the tool attachment is fitted cor-
rectly!
CAUTION
Unsuitable extension cables could be dangerous. There
is a risk of persons being injured due to electric shock.

General information
• Proceed with caution. Familiarise yourself with the ap-
plication and possible restrictions, but also with the
specific potential dangers.
• Before connecting of the product, make certain that
the data on the type plate matches with the mains
power data.
• Do not overload the product. Use the correct tool for
your application. The correct tool will do the job better
and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
• Inadequately informed operators can endanger them-
selves and others through improper use. The operator
is responsible for the safety of third parties.
• Check the product regularly for damage.
• Check whether the moving parts function faultlessly
and do not jam or whether parts are damaged. All
parts must be correctly mounted and all conditions
must be fulfilled to ensure fault-free operation of the
electric tool.
• Damaged protective devices and parts must be prop-
erly repaired or replaced by a recognised specialist
workshop, insofar as nothing different is specified in
the operating manual.
• Do not use the product if the switch cannot be
switched on and off. Damaged switches must be re-
placed by our service centre.
• Ensure that the product is always in good condition
and has been properly lubricated.
• The flat chisel (7) or pointed chisel (8) can get stuck
during operation. This allows high forces to be trans-
ferred to the handles. Ensure you have a secure foot-
ing. Hold the product with both hands during the work.
• The integrated vibration damper reduces the vibra-
tions that occur. The handles increase slip resistance
and thus ensure greater safety as well as better grip
and manoeuvrability of the product.
• Always keep the flat chisel (7) and the pointed chisel
(8) sharp.
• Ensure that no there are no electric cables or gas
pipes etc. where you are working and which can lead
to a hazard if damaged when you use the machine.
• Place the product on a level, even surface (such that it
cannot topple).
Oil to be used: 10W40 / 5W40 or equivalent.
Tool required:
• Hexagon spanner (9)
• Lubricating grease*
* = may not be included in the scope of delivery!

Check the oil level (fig. 1)
1. Hold the product with the tool receiver (6) upwards.
2. Check whether there is sufficient oil in the product by
looking at the sight glass (4) on the underside of the
product.
3. If there is no oil in the sight glass (4), fill with oil as de-
scribed in 8.2.
