8.0 Procedure for Changing the Oil
1. Allow the rechargeable battery-powered vacuum pump
to warm up to operating temperature, then switch of
and remove the rechargeable battery.
2. Unscrew the oil drain and drain the contaminated oil into
a suitable container.
3. Insert the rechargeable battery and switch on the
rechargeable battery-powered vacuum pump. Run for
approximatly 10-20 seconds with the intake port open so
that any remaining oil is pressed out of the pressure
stages.
4. Switch off the rechargeable battery-powered vacuum
pump and remove the rechargeable battery.
5. Drain or pour out the remaining oil. When the oil stops
flowing, tilt the rechargeable battery-powered vacuum
pump and drain the oil.
6. Screw the oil drain back in tightly.
7. Remove the oil filler cap and pour in new oil up to the
mark in the housing next to the sight glass.
8. Before switching on the rechargeable battery-powered
vacuum pump, ensure that all inlet openings and
container lids are closed.
If the oil is heavily contaminated, it is recommended to
repeat the oil change after a running time of 30 minutes
in order to rinse out all impurities. To achieve the
specified performance and to avoid damaging the
rechargeable battery-powered vacuum pump, the oil
DV-44, DV-45, DV-46, DV-48 specified by the
manufacturer must be used.
