NOTICE! Risk of damage! An incor-
rect battery can damage the device
and battery.
Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (5) along the
guide into the battery holder (4).
You will hear the battery click into
place.
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the battery release
(8) on the battery (5).
2. Pull the battery out of the battery
holder (4).

Switching on and off

Notes
• The device may only be used with
one battery .
• The On/Off switch (2) and the
switch lock (1) must not be locked.
Switching on (Fig. B)
 CAUTION! Personal injury or dam-
age to the device! Ensure your stance
is stable and hold the device tightly
with one hand and away from your
body.
1. Remove the blade guard (15)/(13).
2. Ensure that the battery (5) is inser-
ted.
3. Always hold the device using the
handle (3).
4. NOTICE! Before switching the ma-
chine on, make sure that it is not
touching any objects.
Slide the switch lock (1) on the
handle (3) forward while pressing
the On/Off switch (2).
Then release the switch lock (1).
The device will run at maximum
speed.
Switching off (Fig. B)
1. Release the On/Off switch (2).
2. Wait until the power tool has
stopped before placing it down.
3. Remove the rechargeable battery
(5) from the device if you are leav-
ing the device unattended or if you
have finished working.

Transport

Notes
• Switch off the device and remove
the battery (5). Make sure that all
moving parts have come to a com-
plete stop.
• Always transport the grass and
shrub shears with the blade guard
(15)/(13).
• Always carry the device by the
handle (3).
 WARNING! Risk of injury due to
unintentional start-up. Protect your-
self when performing maintenance or
cleaning work.
 CAUTION! Cutting injuries! Wear
cut-resistant gloves when working
with the blades.
You should have any repair and main-
tenance work that is not described in
these instructions carried out by our
Service Centre. Only use original re-
placement parts.

Cleaning

 WARNING! Electric shock! Never
spray down the device with water.
NOTICE! Risk of damage. Chemic-
al substances may attack the plastic
parts of the machine. Do not use any
cleaning agents or solvents.
• Keep the ventilation slits, motor
housing and handles of the ma-
chine clean. Use a damp cloth or
brush to do this.
