Use both hands to lift the bottom of the refrigerator door slightly
and take the refrigerator door off the upper hinge (Fig. 3).
Lift off the refrigerator door and place to one side on a soft sur-
face to avoid scratches and secure it against falling over.
Changing the freezer compartment door hinge
Due to the increased force needed when screwing in the screws, a second person is to hold the appli-
ance in position.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the
screws on the freezer compartment hinge (Fig.
4).
To prevent the screw from unintention-
ally falling through the drainage outlet
for condensation (10), cover it with a
cloth or something similar. Remove the
cloth after assembly.
Remove the freezer compartment door by lifting the bottom up
slightly and then pulling downwards (Fig. 5).
Remove the freezer compartment hinge from the underside of the
door (Fig. 6).
