Safety features
Key lock/child lock
Keep the button
pressed to activate the button lock, the control lamp lights up in red. To deactivate, press
the buttons in the sequence: +, –, TIMER, then press the button
The operating keys are now enabled again. For safety reasons, the button ON/OFF is never locked. If you need
to switch off the induction when the keypad is locked, press and hold the button ON/OFF for three seconds.
The key lock prevents the induction from being activated accidentally or a setting from being changed.
Pot recognition
If the induction unit cannot detect any appropriate cookware within 60 seconds, it will switch off automatically.
Automatic switch-off
The appliance will switch off automatically after 60 minutes without activity. For operation during a longer period
without activity choose the timer function.
Double overheating protection
If the cookware overheats e.g., when it is heated while empty, or while the surrounding temperature is too high,
the appliance reduces the supplying power, or switches off completely.
Electronic switch-off in case of error
The microprocessor is equipped with an error monitoring function (Watch Dog). If a software error occurs, it
switches off automatically and reloads the data. An error-free operation will then be possible again.

Cleaning
Danger!
Always pull the power plug out of the socket before each cleaning.
Danger!
Never immerse the appliance, the plug or the power cord in water or other liquids and never spray
water directly onto them. Do not clean it in the dishwasher. Do not use a steam cleaner for cleaning
the appliance.
Risk of burns or injury!
Always let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning it.
- Clean the appliance immediately after each use.
- Wipe the glass ceramic top with a soft cloth only, slightly moistened if needed. In case of stubborn residues
use a commercially available cleaning agent for glass ceramic surfaces and a suitable scraper. Note their
instructions for use. Afterwards, dry it off thoroughly.
- For cleaning, do not use any sharp objects and abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents.
- Clean the openings for air supply and outgoing air regularly with a soft cleaning brush.
- Make sure that the unit is completely dry before using the appliance again or storing it.
