Operation
Danger!
Observe the instructions for Installing the induction unit described in Chapter 5.1.
Caution!
Do not leave children unattended in the vicinity of the hot appliance.
Caution!
Assure that this appliance will not be switched on by mistake by the remote control.
Risk of burns or injury!
Using the built-in induction unit results in high temperatures.
6.1
Function
A high frequency induction coil (20-40 kHz) is located beneath the ceramic surface and heats the cookware
placed on the surface. This way the heat is generated in the cookware only. This makes it possible to cook very
efficiently, as there is little loss of heat between the induction unit and the cookware. Induction reacts
immediately. The heat is produced in seconds after the induction unit is switched on and diminishes just as
quickly after it is switched off. This can be best compared with cooking on a gas stove.
This full surface induction unit has two independently operating induction fields. These fields are each equipped
with 9 induction coils. Between the induction coils are sensors that monitor the temperature of the cookware.
Note that the temperature within the cookware may vary depending on how much of the cookware is covering
one or more of the induction coils. If an induction coil is only partially covered, the heat generated will be less
than if it is fully covered. If the desired temperature is not reached in the cookware, try to achieve better
coverage of the induction coils by moving the cookware. Alternatively, set the target temperature slightly higher.

Use
Risk of burns or injury!
Do not touch the glass ceramic plate immediately after use. The surface is hot due to the return heat from
the cookware.
- Install the induction unit according to Chapter 5.1 Installing the induction unit.
- Plug the power cord into a suitable socket according to Chapter 14 Technical specifications.
- Place suitable cookware on the glass ceramic surface according to Chapter 5.4 Cookware/Serving dishes, to
activate the pot recognition.
- It is possible to operate several appliances, which are in the radio range, at the same time with the remote
control. Make sure that the units are not switched on or off unintentionally. To operate one appliance only, hold
the wireless remote control close to the corresponding induction unit.
- Press the ON/OFF button on the appliance or on the wireless remote control to switch on the appliance. You
will hear an acoustic signal and 0 will appear in the display. The indicator light Left lights up in red. If the
induction unit does not switch on, adjust the position of the cookware.
- Press the + or – button within the next few seconds to set the desired temperature.
- You can use the induction unit as a full surface induction or divide the induction surface into 2 zones, left and
right. In this case, you can use two different temperature settings at the same time.
- Press the L|R button to select one of the zones. The indicator light of the selected zone lights up. The display
shows the factory-set temperature, in this case 80 °C.
