8. Material specifications
The product consists of the following materials:
Polyamide rope
•
Polyester sewing thread
•
Length adjustment device made of aluminium or stainless steel
•
Snap hooks made of aluminium or stainless steel
•
9. Storage and transport
After finishing work, clean the product and store in a dry, airy and shady place.
•
During transport, the product must be stored in a suitable transport container (e.g. device bag or device
•
case).
Avoid contact with acids, corrosive liquids and oils. If unavoidable, clean as quickly as possible with mild
•
detergent and plenty of water (40°C). Always dry naturally, never near fire or other sources of heat.
Please contact the manufacturer if you have any questions about disinfecting the tether.
•
Strictly adhere to the cleaning instructions!
•
10. Inspection and general information
Before starting work, check the product and snap hooks for wear or damage. Check the function of the
•
snap hooks. Check that the labelling is legible.
If there i s a n y doubt about the safe condition of the system or its components, they must be replaced
•
immediately. This must be carried out by the manufacturer or another competent person.
Do not make any changes to the product.
•
Repairs prior to use may only be carried out by the manufacturer.
•
An instruction manual/test book is supplied with each lanyard. These must be kept with the equipment.
•
The pre-use inspection may be omitted for certain items of equipment intended for emergency use if they
•
have been packed or sealed by a competent person.
The declaration of conformity can be downloaded from www.mittelmann.com.
•
If necessary, but at least once a year, have the manufacturer or an expert carry out an inspection.
•
Damaged retaining ropes must not b e used.
•
Damaged retaining ropes must be withdrawn from use and returned to the manufacturer or an authorised
•
repair workshop for maintenance and retesting.
No changes or additions may be made to the product without the prior written consent of the manufacturer.
•
Repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer or a repair workshop authorised by the manufacturer
•
in accordance with the procedures specified by the manufacturer.
