Lanyard for workplace positioning or restraint:
To position the workstation, hook one snap hook from the lanyard into the lateral retaining eyelet and secure it.
To do this, open the snap hook according to its function, hook it in and close it again. Now loop the lanyard
around a mast or similar and hook the second snap hook of the lanyard into the second lateral retaining eyelet
according to its function and secure it or attach the snap hook directly to an anchor point in accordance with EN
795.
The anchor point must be located at or above waist height and guarantee a minimum load-bearing capacity of
10 kN in accordance with EN 795. The lanyard must be kept taut so that free movement is limited to a
maximum of 0.6 m.
For restraint, hook one carabiner from the lanyard into the lateral retaining eyelet or the fall arrest eyelet and
secure and attach the other carabiner directly to the anchor point in accordance with EN 795.
Take care when looping around small diameters or sharp edge radii. Protect fasteners from sharp-edged
objects, welding sparks or other destructive or damaging hazards.
Familiarise yourself with the function before using the appliance for the first time. It is important for the user's
safety that they have read and understood the operating instructions. Before and during use, consideration
should be given to how any necessary rescue measures can be carried out safely, quickly and effectively. The
lanyard may only be used by trained and/or otherwise competent personnel, or the user should be under the
direct supervision of such a person.
The lanyard may only be used within the specified operating conditions and for the intended purpose. A rescue
plan must be available that takes into account all possible emergencies that may occur during work. Health
restrictions, e.g. cardiovascular problems, medication, etc., may impair the user's safety when working at
height.
If the lanyard is resold to another country, the reseller must provide instructions for use, maintenance, regular
inspection and repair in the language of the other country.
