16. Troubleshooting
The following table shows fault symptoms and describes remedial measures in the event of your machine failing to
work properly. If you cannot localise and rectify the problem with this, please contact your service workshop.
Fault
Engine does not start
Engine hums and does
not start
The engine does not
switch off when the
protective grate is open
The device starts up, but
blocks when the load is
low and may switch off
automatically.
Possible cause
No mains voltage
Connection cable defective
Engine overloaded, temperature
protection switch has tripped
Defective switch or damaged
connection cable
Protective grate not connected
Mixing drum blocked
Too much mixing material in the drum
(fill level exceeded)
Capacitor defective
Safety switch has not been triggered
Extension cable too long or cross-
section too small
Socket too far from the main
connection and small cross-section of
the connection cable

Remedy
Check fuse
Have it checked or renewed
Let the engine cool down
Check switch or have it replaced
Close the protective grate
Switch off the machine, pull out the mains
plug and clean the drum
Empty the drum
Have it changed by the manufacturer
Check the safety switch or have it
replaced
Extension cable must be at least 1.5 mm²
with a maximum length of 2.5 m. For
longer cables, cross-section must be at
least 2.5 mm²
