Assembly
➜ Remove nuts and washers from side
bars B and C.
➜ Plug side bars B and C into the
perforated platform holes, so that
dimension „A" is about 25 mm less
than length „L" of the separatory
funnel.
✓ The distance should guarantee proper
clamping of the separatory funnel
and its closing plug by means of
compression spring.
✓ Dimension „A" once set will be good for
one and the same size of separatory
funnel only.
✓ Whenever using a different model
of separating funnel, you need to
check dimension „A" and readjust
accordingly.
➜ Install washer and nuts on bolts of side
bars B and C; pull tight with box-end
spanner from your hardware bag.
➜ Locate perforated platform with funnel
clamps on shaker plate.
➜ Make sure, crimped edge is plugged
over the shaker plate, so positively
locking both parts with each other
Install separatory funnel
➜ Install separating funnel with its outlet pipe first through compression spring.
➜ Press item against compression spring until closing plug locks with retainer ring.

Multi-tier attachment

The multi-tier attachment allows installation of a second or third rack plate for
Erlenmeyer flasks on the shaker plate.
▪ 25 ml Erlenmeyer flasks: allows a total of 3 perforated platforms
▪ 50 ml bis 250 ml Erlenmeyer flasks: allows a total of 2 perforated platforms
Caution
Risk of breakage
If clamps for separatory funnels are mounted too close, separatory
funnels could break when touching each other during operation.
Maintain sufficient space between separating funnels to avoid a
collision situation.
