O JOY STICK
The joy stick can be used to vary over-
all pitch and synthesizer section tone color
(VCF fc). Left and right movement bends
the pitch up and down; upward movement
controls vibrato (via the MG) and auto-wah,

to select the effect and adjust its strength.
O JOY STICK CONTROL SECTION
These controls let you select the effects
produced by the joy stick and adjust their
intensity. For pitch bends and vibrato (af-
fecting both synthesizer and string sec-
tions) turn on the SG switch; this applies
FM (frequency modulation) to the SG sec-
tion. For wah, auto-wah (growl) and other
tone
color
variation
effects,
VCF switch; this applies cut-off frequency
modulation (fcM) to the synthesizer sec-
tiori's VCF (voltage controlled filter). Adjust
the FM Depth and fcM Depth knobs as
necessary to obtain the desired range and
