Troubleshooting

If the device is not working properly, please check whether you are able to rectify the
problem yourself fi rst.
Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself!
Problem
The device is
not working. The
temperature control
light is dark.
No steam is

Potential cause/solution
• Is the mains plug properly connected with the socket?
• Is the socket defective? Try another socket and check the
fuse of your mains connection.
• Is the dial still set to STANDBY? Set a higher temperature.
• Have you not moved the device for some time? The auto-
matic safety switch-off function was activated. Switch the
device on again.
• Is the water tank empty? Refi ll it.
• The device still has not reached the operating temperature.
Wait until the temperature control light goes out.
• Has the dial been set to low or medium temperature? Set
a high temperature.
• Push the steam burst button 2 to 3 times to produce steam.
• Is the water tank too full? Pour out some of the water (see
section "After use").
• Is the dial set to a low setting? Select a higher setting so
that steam can be produced.
The hose is twisted. Untangle the hose.
It is possible that odour may be produced the fi rst time you
use the device due to production residue. However, this is
harmless and will cease as you use the device.
