• Only open the water tank cap to fi ll the water tank. Apart from
that, keep the cap closed during operation.
• Never cover the steam nozzles and do not insert any objects in
them.
• Only push the steam switch if the water tank is fi lled with water;
otherwise, the water pump can be damaged and the life span of
the device can be affected.
• Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stoves or
ovens to prevent damage to the device. Do not place any open
fl ames, e.g. burning candles, in the direct vicinity of the device,
cord and plug.
• Keep the cords away from parts of the device that may become
hot during use.
• Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong
percussions.
• Do not place any heavy objects on the device, holder station,
the cord and the plug.
• Do not pull or carry the device by the cord.
• Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe
changes in temperature, moisture, wetness or direct sunlight.
• Always fi rst test the device on a small, unnoticeable area of
clothing.
• During and shortly after use, place the device in the enclosed
holder station or on the heel rest and on a level, stable and
heat-resistant base to prevent damage to the surface that could
be caused by the hot soleplate.
• Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean
the device. They could damage the surface. Do not use metal
utensils to remove dirt from the soleplate.
• Only stow the device once it has completely cooled off and the
water tank is completely empty.
