Running multiple vehicle
If you have a vehicle of your and your friends with other vehicles that you will be racing with, it is very important that you
fi rst check what frequency channel your vehicle is on and confi rm that none of your friends have the same frequency
as yours. If you do fi nd that someone else is using the same frequency channel that you are, you must wait for them to
turn their transmitter and vehicle OFF or you may choose to change the frequency crystals in your transmitter and recei-
ver (so that you can run together at the same time without causing any radio interference). Additional frequency crystal
sets can be purchased separately and installed in a few quick seconds. To change frequency crystals simply remove
the black plastic crystal holder from the back of your transmitter by carefully pulling it straight out. Slide the crystal out
of the holder and install the new crystal labelled „Tx" in its place. Then carefully align the two pins that extend from the
transmitter, and gently press it into place. DO NOT force the crystal! The pins can easily be broken! Remove the crystal
from your receiver in the same careful manner using a pair of needle-nose pliers and install the new „Rx" crystal in its
place.
PLEASE NOTE: It is very important that the crystal labelled „Tx" is installed in the transmitter and the crystal marked
„Rx" is installed in the receiver.

OPERATING THE REMOTE CONTROL

•
Run your Roadfi ghter ST never with low transmitter or receiver batteries.
• Never forget switch off the radio after running your vehicle, otherwise the batteries do not last long.
• Turn on the transmitter fi rst, then the vehicle.
• After driving fi rst turn off the vehicle, then the transmitter.
• For optimal use fi rst check the steering and throttle trim positions.
• Before the fi rst trip you should be sure all of these functions and settings have read and understood.

STEERING TRIM

The vehicle should go straight without turning the steering wheel. If not, press the Steering Trim knob above the steering
wheel in the direction needed for the vehicle to go straight.
THROTTLE/BRAKE TRIM
Here you do not need to adjust anything, because the neutral point is stored automatically during the ESC setting.
CHECKLIST BEFORE YOU START
• Check all screws on permanent seat.
• Check all the moving parts to work without binding.
• Check the batteries in the remote control.
• Check your frequency, so that a trouble-free operation is ensured.
LET THE FUN BEGIN
Before the fi rst run the shock absorbers must be fi lled with the enclosed oil. Unscrew the shocks from the vehicle (see
page 39) and fi ll as shown on page 38 (lower illustration). Make sure that the shocks run evenly and can be compressed
completely. Otherwise unscrew the upper cap once again and let drain off the excessive oil. Screw the cap on fi rmly, so
that no oil can bleed.
The Roadfi ghter ST is equipped with an adjustable slipper clutch. With this the acceleration of the car can be adapted to
each surface. You can adjust the maximum torque of the motor, the slipper also protects the drive train against mechani-
cal overloading. The slipper clutch is optimally adjusted by the factory. For slippery surfaces it can be opened somewhat,
therefore remove the cap at the gear cover 90166.9 fi rst. Now loose the M4 nut a little, just until optimal acceleration wi-
thout wheelspin is reached. In addition push the vehicle backwards and then pull the trigger to full throttle. There should
be no or only very little wheelspin. For a very grippy surface (e.g. asphalt) you can tighten the nut somewhat to improve
acceleration. Now install the cap of the gear cover again. Please consider: Tighten the adjusting nut never completely,
the slipper should always be in function, in order to protect the transmission and the drive train.
First, charge the drive battery with a suitable charger. You should also read the manual of the charger. During switching
on do not move the throttle trigger, so that the electronic speed controller can initialize itself correctly. The speed control-
ler is correctly adjusted, when the LED lits in neutral position, with throttle or brake engaged the LED goes out. Consider
that the speed controller does not go from braking directly into reverse, you must release the throttle trigger and then
go to reverse again.
