• Although the device can also be used on delicate fabrics such as silk or wool, you should read
the care instructions for the textile to be ironed before you use the device. Some fabrics such
as leather, suede and velvet must not be ironed!
• We recommend that you sort the garments on the basis of the temperature they need to
be ironed at and that you start with the items which require the lowest temperature. Oth-
erwise, wait a few minutes when you adjust the device from a high temperature to a lower
level before you continue ironing.
• For an optimum ironing result, we recommend that you dry-iron the item of clothing after
steam-ironing it in order to remove the moisture from the clothing.

Filling the Water Reservoir

CAUTION!
❐ Always remove the mains plug from the plug socket before you top up/empty the water
reservoir. Always pull the plug and never the cable.
❐ Never pour any cleaning agent or other additives into the device. This could destroy the
device and safe working is no longer guaranteed.
❐ Never exceed the maximum fi ll level (the water reservoir holds around 400 ml). The useful
service life of the device will be extended if you use pure distilled water.
1. Make sure that the device is not connected to the mains power. Move the steam quantity
control to position 0 and the temperature control to MIN.
2. Open the water reservoir by opening up the cover of the water reservoir. Please note that
the cover cannot be completely detached from the device.
3. Place the device with the bottom of the iron onto a fl at surface and tilt it back slightly so that
it stands on the rear edge of the housing.
4. Fill the reservoir using the measuring cup supplied with the device. The reservoir holds ap-
prox. 400 ml.
5. Close the water reservoir by fl ipping the cover shut again. Make sure that the water reservoir
is completely sealed shut.

CAUTION!
❐ Never attempt to iron clothes while somebody is wearing them.
❐ Danger of injury! Only hold the device by the handle when you are operating it.
❐ Only iron on a stable, fl at, heat-resistant and moisture-resistant surface. We recommend that
you use a standard ironing board.
❐ Do not iron on surfaces made from glass or plastic.
❐ Always test the device fi rst on a small, inconspicuous spot on the clothing.
