Safety Instructions

Intended Use

❐ This device is suitable for dry and steam ironing items of clothing, e.g. made from cotton,
wool, satin, silk, nylon or linen.
❐ The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
❐ Use the device only as described in the instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.

Dangers of Injury

❐ Keep children and animals away from the packaging material. There is a danger of suffocation!
❐ Keep animals away from the device.
❐ This device may be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with reduced physical,
sensory or mental abilities or a lack of experience and/or knowledge if they are supervised or
have received instruction on how to use the device safely and have understood the dangers
resulting from this. Children may not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance
may not be carried out by children without supervision.
❐ The device, cable and plug must be kept out of the reach of children who are younger than 8
while the device is switched on or is cooling down.
❐ Danger of burns! The bottom of the iron gets very hot during use. You should therefore only
hold the device by the handle when you are operating it. Do not touch the bottom of the
iron during or shortly after use.
❐ Danger of scalding! Never aim the steam directly at people, animals or plants.
❐ Never attempt to iron clothes while somebody is wearing them.
❐ Make sure that the connected mains cable does not present a trip hazard. Do not allow the
cable to hang over the edge of tables or kitchen counters. Others may become caught and
pull the device down.
❐ Never leave the device unattended when it is connected to the mains. Switch the device off if
you stop using it for prolonged periods and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
❐ Always allow the device to cool down completely before you clean the device and/or store
it away.
❐ Keep the device out of the reach of children!
