Function
The sensor is used for measuring electrolytic conductivity in aqueous sample media. The sensor
works on the inductive measuring principle.
The sensor's signal processing electronics are integrated in the sensor housing.
The sensor is factory-calibrated.
The sensor needs a 12 ... 24 V DC supply and has a 4 ... 20 mA current loop output, all contained in
a 6-wire, unshielded cable.
The 4 ... 20 mA cable transmitter is housed in a moulded module adjacent to the sensor body on the
cable.
The cable length is: 2 m between the sensor and cable transmitter and 10 m between the cable
transmitter and monitor.
Do not shorten or otherwise modify the cable.
The sensor can be fitted with a flange and has a ½" BSP thread.
The sensor has an integral temperature measurement, which is used to calculate the temperature
compensation of the conductivity output value. You do not need an additional temperature sensor
for temperature compensation of the output signal. Temperature compensation is done within the
sensor's electronics and the standard setting is 1.7 %/°C.
The sensor has three measuring ranges:
0 ... 2 mS

0 ... 20 mS

0 ... 200 mS

cations in water treatment and for water moni‐
toring, e.g.:
Contaminated waste water and process

You can also use the sensor in contaminated
water, which is chemically inert to PP/EPDM
(depending on the design of the sensor).
