Description
The Tinel-Lock installation tool
is a hand-held, manually
operated, resistance heating tool
used to install a range of Tinel-
Lock rings onto screened
terminations.
The tool is designed for small
batch use.
When used with standard
electrodes, the tool can install
Tinel-Lock ring sizes TR04 to
TR24 (inclusive); but
alternative electrodes are
available to facilitate its use
with other ring sizes and types –
See section 8.
Consistent installation is
ensured by means of
thermochromic paint on the
Tinel-Lock ring.
The operator positions the ring
on the termination with at least
one section of the
thermochromic paint visible
and then places the handtool's
electrodes centrally on the Tinel

Das Tinel-Lock Installations-
werkzeug ist ein Handwerkzeug zur
Widerstand-serhitzung mit
manueller Betätigung, das zur
Installation einer Reihe von Tinel-
Lock-Ringen an abgeschirmten
Leitungsenden verwendet wird.
Das Werkzeug ist zur Verwendung
für kleine Mengen bestimmt.
Wenn das Werkzeug mit Standard-
Elektroden verwendet wird, kann es
Tinel-Lock Ringe in den Größen
TR04 bis einschließlich TR24
installieren. Es sind jedoch andere
Elektroden verfügbar, um eine
Installation anderer Ringgrößen und
–arten zu ermöglichen – siehe
Abschnitt 8.
Eine beständige Installation wird
mittels der Thermochromfarbe auf
dem Tinel-Lock-Ring
gewährleistet.
Der Ring wird vom Bedienungs-
personal so am Leistungsende
positioniert, daß mindestens ein Teil
der Thermo-chromfarbe auf dem
Tinel-Lock-Ring sichtbar ist. Dann

Lock es una herramienta de mano

La herramienta está diseñada
para uso en cantidades
pequeñas.
Cuando se use con electrodos
estándar, la herramienta puede
instalar anillos Tinel-Lock de los
tamaños TR04 a TR24 (ambos
inclusive); pero existen otros
tamaños para facilitar su uso con
otros tamaños de anillo y tipos −

Se consigue una instalación
uniforme por medio de pintura
termocrómica en el anillo Tinel-
Lock.

L'outil de montage Tinel-Lock est
un outil de chauffage ohmique
portable, à commande manuelle,
servant à monter diverses bagues
Tinel-Lock sur des terminaisons
blindées.
L'outil est destiné à une utilisation
en petite série.
Quand il est utilisé avec des
électrodes standards, l'outil permet
de monter des bagues Tinel-Lock de
taille TR04 à TR24 (inclus) ; mais il
existe aussi des électrodes
permettant le montage d'autres
tailles et types de bagues - voir
section 8.
Pour obtenir un montage
homogène, on applique une
peinture thermochromique sur la
bague Tinel-Lock.
L'opérateur met la bague sur la
terminaison avec au moins une
portion de la peinture
thermochromique visible, puis
place les électrodes de la pince au
centre de la bague Tinel et de la

termocromatica degli anelli
garantisce l'uniformità del
montaggio.
La procedura di montaggio
comporta il posizionamento
dell'anello sul terminale con almeno
una parte della vernice
termocromatica in evidenza.
L'operatore poi sistema gli elettrodi
dell'utensile in posizione centrale
sull'anello
Tinel e sul terminale. Stringendo
fortemente l'anello tra le ganasce
dell'utensile, alta tensione attraversa
gli elettrodi, che scalda l'anello e lo
