Troubleshooting
WARNING

Troubleshooting table
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not necessarily mean there is a
defect in the appliance. Please consult the table to determine whether the error can be removed.
Problem
Appliance does not work.
The appliance does not re-
spond to inputs.
The appliance does not re-
act to inputs but emits a long
acoustic signal.
The appliance will switch it-
self off.
The cooking zone will switch
itself off and the indicator 'K'
will appear.
The appliance switches itself
off unexpectedly.
The residual heat indicator is
not illuminated although the
cooking zone remains hot.
Possible causes
The power supply has been
interrupted.
The electronics have over-
heated (e.g. as a result of in-
adequate insulation).
The appliance is not switched
on.
The sensors were touched too
briefly (less than one second).
Several sensors were
touched simultaneously.
The locking function has been
activated.
Sensor(s) are covered or dirty. Uncover the sensor(s) or clean
After switching on, no sensor
was touched for longer than
60 seconds.
The pre-set time has elapsed. Switch the cooking zone on again.
There are temperatures out-
side the permitted range in-
side the appliance.
The power supply has been
interrupted.

Solution
Check the fuse for the fitted hob
at the fuse box in your home,
switch it back on, change the fuse
if necessary.
Allow to cool, improve the insula-
tion.
Switch the appliance on.
Touch the sensor for a little longer.
Only ever touch one sensor at a
time.
Switch off the locking function.

Switch the appliance on again
and touch a sensor within 60 sec-
onds, e.g. in order to input a level.
Levels are automatically re-
duced. Once the temperature has
dropped the level will automati-
cally increase to the originally set
value.
Restore the power supply.
