After abrupt changes in temperature, the device must be left to adjust to the new ambient
temperature for a few minutes before use.
• To measure the temperature, point the infrared sensor (5) at the object that you wish to measure. For
metal objects, point the sensor at the adhesive tape.
• Press and hold the MEAS. button (3) for 1 second. The temperature of the measured surface will be
displayed.
• Repeat this step to measure the temperature of other objects.
d) Changing the display modes
• The product turns on automatically after you insert the battery and switches to temperature measuring
mode. If no button is pressed for 15 seconds, "OFF" will be briefly displayed and the infrared
thermometer will switch to time mode.
• Press the MEAS. button (3) to go back to the temperature measuring mode.
e) Setting the temperature unit
In time mode
• If the device is in time mode, press the MEAS. button (3) once and then press the MODE button (1)
three times. The temperature unit starts to flash.
• Press the MEAS. button to change the temperature unit from °C>>°F or °F>>°C.
• Press the MODE button to confirm the temperature unit setting. The setting will also be confirmed if no
button is pressed for 15 seconds. Once the setting has been confirmed, the time will be displayed.

• If the device is in temperature measuring mode, press the MODE button (1) three times. The

• Press the MODE button to confirm the temperature unit setting. The setting will also be confirmed if no
button is pressed for 15 seconds. Once the setting has been confirmed, the time will be displayed.
• If you press the MODE button directly after setting the temperature unit, the hour value will start to flash.
You can then set the time. Refer to the information in "Setting the time".
f) Displaying maximum and minimum values when measuring the temperature
in real time
• To measure the temperature in real time, press and hold the MEAS. button (3) for a certain duration
(at least one second). The temperature of the measured surface will be displayed after you release the
button.
• Briefly press the MODE button (1) once to display the minimum value (the minimum temperature
measured during the selected duration (e.g. 3 seconds)). "MIN" appears on the LCD display.
• Briefly press the MODE button again to display the maximum value (the maximum temperature
measured during the selected duration). "MAX" appears on the LCD.
• Both the maximum and minimum values are measured during the selected measurement period. For
example, if you press and hold the MEAS. button for 10 seconds, the minimum and maximum values
represent the lowest and highest temperatures that were recorded during the 10 second measurement
period.
• Press the MEAS button to exit the display mode for real-time measurements.
g) Carrying the thermometer
To keep the thermometer secure in your hand, attach the wrist strap to
the hole on the back. You can then carry the thermometer on your wrist
and prevent it from getting lost.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Display
Explanation
This error occurs when the measured
C
temperature is outside of the thermometer's
range. "Hi" is displayed when the
C
measured temperature is higher than
+500 ºC /+932 ºF. "Lo" is displayed when
the measured temperature is lower than
-33 ºC /-27 ºF.
"Er2" indicates abrupt changes in the
ambient temperature.
"Er1" means that the ambient temperature
is outside of the permitted operating
temperature range (see "Technical data").
"Er" is a general error message.
Suggested solution
Measure a temperature that is within
the thermometer's range.
Let the thermometer level out at a
stable temperature (at least
30 minutes) before using it again.
Wait until the ambient temperature
is within the operating temperature
range. Wait for at least another
30 minutes before using the
thermometer again.
Restart the thermometer if you see this
message. Remove the battery. Wait
for at least a minute and then reinsert
the battery.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Never use aggressive and abrasive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical
solutions, as these could damage the housing or even impair the functioning of the
product.
• Under no circumstances should you service any of the components in the interior of the product,
therefore never open/dismantle it except when changing the battery.
• Remove the battery before cleaning the product.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient for cleaning the product housing. Do not press too hard on the
housing, as this can lead to scratch marks.
• Dust on the lens of the infrared sensor can be easily removed using a clean, dry cloth or a cotton bud
soaked in water or medical alcohol.
DISPOSAL
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory
regulations.
Remove any inserted battery and dispose of it separately from the product.
b) Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries. Disposing of them
in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the domestic
waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium,
Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever
batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
