3.4 Safety instructions
This device was built and tested in line with the safety regulations
for electronic measuring devices. The correct function and ope-
rational safety of the device can only be guaranteed if the gene-
rally applicable safety precautions and the device-specific safety
instructions in this operating manual are followed during use.
The function and operational safety of the device can only be

maintained under the climatic conditions specified in the section
"Technical data". If the device is transported from a cold to a warm
environment, condensation can cause the device to malfunction. In
this case, you must wait for the device temperature to adjust to the
room temperature before starting.
If you have reason to believe that the device can no longer be ope-
rated without danger, it must be decommissioned and marked to
prevent further operation. The safety of the user can be impaired
by the device if, for example:
- there is visible damage.
- it no longer works as intended.
- it was stored in unsuitable conditions for an extended period.
If in doubt, return the device to the manufacturer for repairs or
maintenance.
Keep this device out of the hands of children and unauthorised
users.
Never operate the measuring probe with external voltage.
Never use brute force when operating the device. Do not expose
the device to mechanical stress, excessive temperatures, humidity
or strong vibrations.
Only use the device for the intended purpose. Unintended use of
the device will void your guarantee.
