TPS(Tape Program Sensor)
TPS is a mechanism which will seek out the unrecorded,
mute section between each number recorded on a cassette
tape, and start playback there automatically.
With this set you can seek out the beginning of the number
after the one you are listening to as well as rewinding to the
beginning of the number you are listening to when you want
to listen once more.
Operate as follows.
Prepare for tape playback, following the instruction given
under the ''Tape playback"' section of this manual.
Depress TPS button.

Notes:
In the following cases TPS might not operate as it
should, but this does not indicate a malfunction.
eWhen the mute section between numbers is less
than 3 seconds.
e@When the number has a very quiet passage or long
mute time.
eThe distance to the beginning of the number being
played back or of the distance to the next number is
short. (less than 15 seconds)

MAINTENANCE
e@When the components are dirty
Wipe the cabinet clean with a soft dry cloth. If the dirt still
cannot be removed, dip the cloth into some water or apply
some soapy water to the cloth, then wring dry and wipe.
Never use benzine, paint thinners or solvents such as
alcohol or chemical cleaning cloths since these may create
cracks, or change the panel coloring.
