3.6.5 Height adjustment conditioning fingers
The height of the conditioning fingers relative to the knife
plates can be set at the conditioner mounting points (24).
That allows adjustment of the way the conditioning fingers
take over the crop.
Attention:
Before adjusting the conditioner make sure the mow-
er is horizontal and secured against any unintention-
al movement (wheel chocks)!
Adjust this height as follows:
Loosen bolts and nuts (23). Remove protective hood (9).

Loosen nut (10). Pull the nylon chain tensioner (12) up

to release the chain tension.
Support the conditioner (e.g. with hydraulic jack) at the

location indicated by the arrow (on the left as well on the
right of the conditioner!).
Dismount bolts and nuts (24) on the left and on the right.

Unscrew bolts and nuts (25) on the left and on the right

one turn.
Unscrew bolts and nuts (26) on the left and on the right

one turn.
Conditioning fingers closer to the knife plates:

a) Use the hydraulic jack to move the conditioner down
until the correct setting has been reached.
b) Make sure the two holes are aligned as soon as the
correct setting has been reached.
c)Mount bolts and nuts (24) on the left and on the right.

d) Tighten bolts and nuts (25) on the left and on the
right.
e) Tighten bolts and nuts (26) on the left and on the
right.
Conditioning fingers further away from the knife plates:

a) Use the hydraulic jack to move the conditioner up
until the correct setting has been reached.
b) Make sure the two holes are aligned as soon as the
correct setting has been reached.
c)Mount bolts and nuts (24) on the left and on the right.
d) Tighten bolts and nuts (25) on the left and on the
right.
e) Tighten bolts and nuts (26) on the left and on the
right.
Use the chain tensioner (12) to tighten the chain as fol-

lows: manually push down chain tensioner (12) and
hold it in that position and:
tighten nut (10). The chain must have a stroke of 1 cm at

the underside.
Mount the protective cover (9) and tighten bolts and nuts

(23).
Make sure all the bolts and nuts are tighten well!
