3.5 Cutting height adjustment
3.5.1 Height adjustment with spacers
The cutting height is adjusted by adding / removing spacers
(12). A maximum of 24 mm (15/16 in) per drum is possible.
In the factory two 4-mm-rings (12) are installed, a set of
8-mm-rings can be ordered as option (see 6.2).
The following height positions are possible: 0, 4, 8, 12, 16,
20 and 24 mm.
Attention:
Rings (12) must always be mounted, above or below
the cone (40)!
3.5.2 Gradual height adjustment (option)
An available option (see 6.4) provides gradual height
adjustment through rotating the skid disks.
3.6 Conditioner
3.6.1 General
A. Conditioning
The conditioning is achieved by slightly bruising the waxy
cuticle of the crop, which shortens the drying time
considerably and eliminates losses. The crop is not severely
damaged by splitting or crushing.
B. Balance precautions
If vibrations occur during work, check conditioning fingers for
presence and condition: inmediately replace lost and
damaged (broken) fingers prior to continuing the work.
