The Stiebel Eltron instantaneous water
heater DHF is a hydraulically-controlled
pressure appliance supplying one or several
taps (draw-off points), to heat cold water
to DIN 1988.
The built-in flow volume restrictor
– keeps the flow volume constant in case
of pressure fluctuations in the water
mains and thus the discharge volume.
– limits the flow volume, thus guaranteeing
even in winter a sufficient rise in water
temperature.
The unit can be used in a soft water area
but it is not recommended for use in areas
with hard water (see table 2 for areas of
installation).
A DHB or a DHE should be installed in
hard water areas.
The unit must not be fed by pre-heated
water.
When installing the DHF instan-
taneous heater to replace a DHE
or DHB-S, you must use the "T" piece
which comes with the DHF (Fig. 3
position 3 cold water side). If you do
not, leaks could occur on the DHF.
Special taps
(special instructions for single lever mixers
and thermostatic taps)
– Single lever mixers and thermostat taps
must be suitable for hydraulic
instantaneous hot water heaters
(please observe manufacturers
instructions).
– Low flow rate shower heads should always
be used.
– Flow pressure operating with single lever
mixers should amount to a minimum of
3,5 bar for the DHF 21 (3,0 bar without
flow volume restrictor).
Minimum flow is sufficient when a water
temperature of less than 35 ºC can be
set at position
of the output selector
without any problems.
