1. Switch on both the amplifier and the deck.
POWER indicator iNuminates.
2. Set the
function selector on the amplifier
for playback with the deck and increase the
volume level slightly.
3. Load a recorded cassette tape into the cas-
sette
compartment.
Refer
to the instruc-
tions on page 4.
4. Select
the
TAPE
SELECTOR's
setting
which
is suitable
for the tape to be used.
Refer to the instructions and chart on pages
4 and 5.
5. If the
tape
has been
recorded
with
the
DOLBY
NR
system,
set the DOLBY
NR
switch
to
the
ON
position.
If not,
the
DOLBY
NRF _ switch
should
be set to the
OFF position.

6. Depress the PLAY
key to start playback.
(Release the PAUSE key.)
7. Adjust
the
amplifier's
audio
controls
as
desired.
{n order to interrupt playback, depress the
PAUSE
key. The playback will be resumed
from the same point when the PAUSE
key
is depressed again.
. The
deck
will automatically
return to the
neutral mode when the tape reaches the end.

In order to stop the operation before the
tape reaches the end, depress the STOP/
EJECT key.
Both
sides
of the cassette
tape can
be
Played. When the cassette tape reaches the
end, the reverse side of the cassette tape
is ready for playback.
Turn the POWER switch to the &® STAND-
BY
position
when
not
using the deck,
Before switching it to & STAND-BY posi-
tion, check that the deck is in the neutral
(stop) mode. If it isn't, depress the STOP/
EJECT key.
NOTE
When the POWER
switch is set at © STAND-BY
position, the unit
is on stand-by, which means that the current is cut off only second-
arily. Accordingly, be sure to pull off the mains plug out of the wall
outlet before making any internal examination or repairs.
REWIND
AND
FAST
FORWARD
Before the rewind or fast forward operation:
+ If the deck is in any mode other than neutral mode, STOP/EJECT
key should be depressed.
« PAUSE key should be released.

key for fast rewinding
of the tape.
Depress the FF key for fast forward winding
of the tape.
. Depress the STOP/EJECT
key to stop the
tape
when
desired
to return
the deck
to
the neutral mode,
Note:
This deck does not automatically return to the neutral mode, even if
the tape has been wound to the end. Depress the STOP/EJECT
key
to release the REW or FF key.
