Recommended distance between core drill hole
and side wall/floor: min. 50 mm.
In buildings with a sealing on the outer wall, the
core drill hole has to be continued for approx. 60
mm into the soil and a circumferential hollow
cavity of about 30 mm in width has to be created
up to the wall surface (see Fig. 3). Use the angled
screwdriver for this purpose (included in the in-
stallation case).
In the absence of a shooting channel or rounded
gravel, remove 3-4 handfuls of material.

Set the measured wall depth (X) on the setting tool
by sliding the indicator (see Fig.: 4) and tighten the lo-
cking screw.
► If the external sealing element is moved further in-
wards owing to damage to the core drill hole, the set
wall thickness dimension must be reduced accordin-
gly.

For driving pipes Ø
a
ring sleeve 63/75 provided in the installation case
must be inserted in the setting tool and fixed in
the slot using the grub screw. The same method
is used with driving pipes Ø
aluminium centring sleeve 50/75 (See Fig.: 4).

Clean core drill hole/wall sleeve (see Fig. 5).
• Clean, circumferential contact surfaces (con-
crete quality) must be available in the sealing
areas of the ESH PolySafe VT75(VT63).
• In the case of smaller broken areas in the seal-
ing area on the outside of the building, shift
the external sealing element further inwards.
• In the case of larger broken areas or Poroton
bricks, the sealing area must be reworked.
• In the case of smaller broken areas or bumps
in the sealing surface for the internal sealing
element, the ESH support pipe (metal sleeve)
can be mounted on the internal sealing ele-
ment and inserted together with it into the
drill hole. If the metal sleeve is used, both ad-
ditional tabs must be used for anti-rotation
purposes and attached using wall plugs.
• In the case of larger broken areas in the seal-
ing area on the inside of the building, mortar-
fix the ESH support pipe (metal sleeve) flush
with the inside wall.

In the case of smaller broken areas, use the ESH sup-
port pipe (metal sleeve):
Push the additional tabs from behind into the approp-
riate socket before installing the octagonal internal
sealing element and mount the metal sleeve onto the
internal sealing element (see Fig.: 7).

In the case of larger broken areas, mortar-fix the ESH
support pipe:
If an ESH metal sleeve is integrated, the core drill
hole first has be enlarged to a depth of at least
70 mm.
Fold together the two half-shells of the centring
sleeves and insert into the ESH metal sleeve.
Mortar-fix the ESH metal sleeve in the chiselled ope-
ning using quick-setting cement.
In order to centre the metal sleeve in the opening,
leave the two half-shells of the centring sleeve in the
wall sleeve until the quick-setting cement has harde-
ned (see Fig.: 8). Alternatively, the ESH metal sleeve
can be mortar-fixed after shooting the drilling ro-
cket.
Select the size of the centring sleeve to match the
drilling rocket to be used.

In order to centre the drilling rocket, insert the ap-
propriate centring sleeve into the opening as far as it
will go (see Fig.: 9).
7
Measure the distance from the basement wall to the
supply line in the trench or as far as the target pit.
8
Determine the number of driving pipes required and
slide them onto the compressed air tube of the
excavation rocket.
► The spigot with the sealing roll-ring of the driving
pipes must point inwards (see Fig.: 10).
