Before getting started
• Read the "Safety" chapter
from "Safety" on page EN-4).
• Set up the appliance as
described in the chapter
"Start-up" (see "Start-up" on
page EN-16).

Improper handling of the ap-
pliance may result in health
hazards.
■ Do not vacuum glowing
ash, burning cigarettes or
matches, sharp objects,
glass fragments, water or
other liquids. Glowing ash,
burning cigarettes, etc. set
the fi lter on fi re; moisture
can cause short circuits;
sharp objects damage the
fi lter and can cause short
circuits.
■ Do not use the appliance
if the water fi lter is not cor-
rectly installed. Otherwise,
vacuumed dust can pene-
trate the appliance and es-
cape into the ambient air.
