Touching live parts may result

■ Only use the appliance in-
doors. Do not use in wet
rooms or in the rain.
■ Never expose the appliance
to the weather.
■ Do not operate or continue
to operate the appliance if
– damage is visible, the ap-
pliance
– starts smoking or there is
a smell of burning,
– it makes unfamiliar nois-
es.
In such cases, disconnect
the charging station from
the power supply. Switch
off the appliance and have
it repaired (see chapter
"Service" on page EN-39.
Safety
■ If the supply cord is dam-
aged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly
qualifi ed persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
■ Check the appliance, bat-
tery and charging station
regularly for damage.
■ We recommend using a
pulse-sensitive fault current
switch (residual current op-
erated circuit-breaker).
■ Keep the appliance, bat-
tery, charging station and
mains adapter away from
naked fl ames and hot sur-
faces.
■ Do not kink or pinch the
mains cord or lay it over
sharp edges.
■ Never pull the mains adapt-
er out of the socket by the
mains cord; always grasp
the adapter itself.
■ Never touch the mains
adapter with wet hands.
■ Never immerse the mains
adapter or mains cable in
water or other liquids.
