Functional Principle
●
First, adjust the gripping range (of the stone pillar SLS 8/20-G-VA) by turning the crank handle (1).
●
The device (SLS 8/20-G-VA) is attached to the horizontal gripping good (stone pillar) (see figure ).
●
In order to grip the gripping good (stone pillar) in the middle, the adjustable limit stop (5) must be
positioned once.
●
After attaching the clamping jaw to the gripping good (stone pillar), a preload force is applied (approx.
1-2 turns) by turning the crank handle (1), until the round bushing (A) touches the square tube (B) (see
figure ).
●
Attach lifting tackle (belt / slack, chain or crane hook) to the lifting eye (2).
●
Now the gripping good (stone pillar) can be lifted and positioned vertically with the device (SLS 8/20-G-
VA) with the help of a lifting device / carrier (see figures and ).
●
As soon as the gripping good (stone pillar) hangs vertically on the carrier, it must be checked if the
center of gravity balance ("X" see figure ) is positioned approx. in the middle of the gripping good.
This ensures that the gripping good is hanging almost vertically.
If this is not the case, change the position of the lifting eye (2) in the suspension of the center of gravity
balance ("X" see figure ) must be changed accordingly.
ATTENTION: To this, the device must be placed completely on the ground with the already gripped
gripping good (stone pillar). Otherwise there is a danger of accident!
●
After positioning and putting down the gripping good (stone pillar), the preload force must be
released again by turning the crank handle (1).
●
If an already standing gripping good (stone pillar) is only displaced (ie not to be set up vertically), it is
not necessary to apply the pre-stressing force.
The holding force is generated in the vertical state via the round clamping jaw (6).
