10.5 Cleaning PPB 30 ventilation unit
● Have ventilation unit cleaned by a specialist
every 2 years.

● Only clean internal grille, fans and elec-
tronics cover with a dry cloth.
Clean all PPB 30 units as follows:
1. Take out front cover, remove filter
Chapter 10.4, points 1. to 3.
2. Remove the 4 screws ( arrows) of the
slide-in module.
3. Pull off both connection plugs [A] on
board.
CAUTION
!
Risk of injury/damage to unit from falling
slide-in module.
Sometimes the slide-in module (3,6 kg) is
hard to pull out. Ensure that you are standing
securely and cannot lose your balance and
that there is no one under the unit. When
installing and removing the slide-in module,
support it from below with a hand.

4. Pull the complete slide-in unit [20] out of
the wall sleeve. Also pull the pipe exten-
sion [34] all the way out.
5. Use a vacuum cleaner to clean the slide-
in unit while still assembled.
6. If very dirty, disassemble the slide-in unit [20].
To do this, remove the 4 screws [32.1]
of the fluid distributor internal cover [32],
take out profile seal and remove ceramic
heat exchanger [21.1].
Then remove fluid distributor slide-in mo-
dule [23] (4 plastic rivets Chapter 10.3,
point 2.) and pull fluid distributor out of the
slide-in unit. Take out profile seal [22] and
remove ceramic heat exchanger [21.2].
Rinse out both heat exchangers with
water and leave to dry.
7. Reassemble slide-in unit in the reverse
order to the disassembly. Only insert a dry
heat exchanger.
