● The radio mode (EnOcean) is activated by
the specialist installer. Once radio operation
has been activated, you can teach-in/delete
EnOcean radio components directly on the
ventilation unit.
7.1 Meaning of the LEDs [17] on the
PP 45 RC / PPB 30 RC
LED Meaning
Or- LED flashes x times when the heat
ange recovery (WRG) operating mode is
selected (x = selected ventilation
level). When demand-driven oper-
ation is selected, the LED lights up
for 5 seconds.
Blue LED flashes x times when the
cross-ventilation operating mode is
selected (x = selected ventilation
level). When demand-driven oper-
ation is selected, the LED lights up
for 5 seconds. In exhaust air mode
(PPB 30 RC), the LED lights up 2x
for 2 seconds.

7.3 Teaching-in tips

● Radio components are taught in directly on
the master PP 45 RC / PPB 30 RC (LEARN
key).
● Only one slave unit can be assigned to
each master ventilation unit. Exception:
For systems with PP 45 RC unit pairs and
PPB 30 RC, additional teaching-in of the
PPB 30 RC in the PP 45 master is possible.
● Correction operation of a unit pair is moni-
tored by the master unit.
● Teach-in mode is deactivated each time a
radio component is saved, meaning that it
has to be called up again for each further
component.
● If nothing is received within 120 seconds,
the teaching-in process is ended (the LED
on the ventilation unit switches off).
● Teach-in telegrams from non-supported
units are ignored.
7.4 DS 45 RC radio switch

The DS 45 RC ( Fig. A) is a double rocker

radio switch for operating PP 45 RC/PPB 30 RC
ventilation units. The operating mode and ven-

tilation level is transferred to all taught-in PP 45
RC/PPB 30 RC master ventilation units.

7.5 EnOcean extension module PP 45 EO

This module can be used to add radio
components to an RLS 45 K comfort control.
Once radio mode has been activated by your
specialist installer, radio-controlled RC units
can be integrated into the wired system.
If within range, up to 8 radio sensors
can be used with radio-controlled
systems.
Radio actuator PP 45 Act (1 channel):
The PP 45 Act can be used to activate
the "Supply air for exhaust air units"
function for PP 45 RC units. The
PP 45 Act is connected and taught in
following the enclosed mounting and
operating instructions.
