Select the location to provide a pipe slope of 2% or more. This facilitates
drainage and prevents grease deposits.
The unit must be perfectly level:
- Sanigrease T 24: Place on a floor or horizontal support. The installation
on a raised support facilitates maintenance.
- Sanigrease T 40/60/80/100: Adjust the height of the feet.
If there is a floor drain: choose a location that allows the drain valve to
be positioned above the floor drain.
4.2 PREREQUISITES
Sanigrease T 24: Installation of the drain valve (optional)
To connect the quarter-turn PVC valve with tap,
• Make a mark on the tank to mark the location of the drain valve:
the tap must be low enough to allow the tank to be drained but high
enough to place a container under the tap if necessary.
• Drill a 22 mm diameter hole at the mark.
• Place the valve with the tap facing upwards.
• Using a spanner or an adjustable wrench, tighten the locknut on the
tank side to lock the valve in the required position.
Sanigrease T 40/60/80/100: Drain valve installation
• Insert the grease drain valve, either on the right or on the left.
• Connect the full drain valve using the sleeve and clamps provided.
4.3 INLET AND OUTLET CONNECTION
Observe the specified DN (see 3.4 Technical data ).
The inlet and outlet pipes must have a slope equal to or greater than 2%.
The discharge pipe must be as straight as possible.
Sanigrease T 24
Insert the pipes directly into the openings provided on the tank:
- the "IN" marking on the tank indicates the opening for the water inlet
pipe,
- The "OUT" marking on the tank indicates the opening for the drain
pipe.
Sanigrease T 40/60/80/100
• Connect the pipe to the inlet using the sleeve and 2 clamps provided.
• Connect the isolation valve to the outlet using the sleeve and clamps
provided. Insert the discharge pipe into the isolation valve.
4.4 VENTILATION CONNECTION
NOTICE
Insufficient or no ventilation
Risk of bad odours.
Ö It is essential to ventilate the pipes in both directions
according to the EN1825-2 standard.
Ensure sufficient ventilation of the inlet and outlet pipes:
- at least on the drainpipe,
- preferably by means of ventilation columns leading to the roof.
Ventilate all secondary supply lines longer than 5 metres separately.
If the length of the main supply line exceeds 10 metres, provide an
additional ventilation line in the immediate vicinity of the unit.
Sanigrease T 24:
The unit has a DN50 vent on the top of the tank (marked "VENT" on
the tank).
5. COMMISSIONING
• Before commissioning, thoroughly clean the system :
– Drain the content if necessary.
– Be careful when removing coarse and solid substances from inside
the appliance.
– Clean the tank.
– Clean the inlet and discharge.
• Then fill the grease trap with cold water until the system is drained.
Sanigrease T 40/60/80/100: The peelings bin must not be immersed
in water.
• Ensure the watertightness of the system and the pipes, as well as
checking for leaks, transportation and installation damage.
Before filling the system with used greasy water, provide the user with
clear directions for use and refilling the appliance.
6. CLEANING/MAINTENANCE
Maintenance consists of emptying and cleaning the various
compartments. Compliance with the frequency and conditions of
maintenance will ensure the efficiency of the appliance.
If your Sanigrease T is not emptied, the accumulated particles and
grease will ferment, causing bad odours and greatly reducing the
efficiency of the unit.
The frequency of inspection, emptying and cleaning depends on the
grease and sludge storage capacity of the separator and on operational
experience.
IMPORTANT
Follow local legislation for the disposal of contents.
Grease residues must be disposed of in a suitable waste bin.
Under no circumstances should they be disposed of in the sewer
system or in household waste.
