Using energy in a responsible manner does not only save
Try opening the door as little as possible, especially when the weather is
warm and humid.
If you open the door, close it as fast as possible.
Permanently check , that the appliance is well-ventilated. The appliance has
to be well-ventilated from all sides.
Set the temperature control from a high to a low position as soon as it is
possible. This depends on the amount of contents and the room
temperature.
Cool foodstuff to room temperature before you put it into the appliance.
Encrusted ice causes a higher energy consumption. Defrost encrusted ice if
its diameter is more than 3 mm ( 1/8 '' ).
Put the frozen food you want to defrost into the cooling-compartment of
you appliance.
Occasionally clean the rear of your appliance with a brush or a vacuum
cleaner to avoid an increased energy consumption.
If you decommission your appliance temporarily, ensure that children cannot get
into the appliance. Strictly observe the corresponding safety instructions numbers.
If the appliance is not used for a longer period of time:
1. Draw the plug out of the socket.
2. Remove all foodstuff stored in the appliance.
3. Dry the inside of the appliance with a cloth and leave the door open for a
few days.
While away on an average vacation/holiday:
1. Do the same as described above, or
2. let the appliance operate.
