BEFORE MACHINE START-UP

Brush/pad-holder installation/removal
1.
According to the kind of cleaning to be performed, the machine can be equipped either with the brush (A, Fig. 2) or the pad-
holder (B) with pad (C) together with the appropriate deck.
2.
(Only for
BA 451D and BA 531D): Insert the ignition key (80) and turn it to "0".
(Only for BA 451 and BA 531): Turn off the machine by pressing the switch (71) and/or (73).
3.
If equipped, turn the speed adjuster (4) to idle by turning it counter-clockwise.
4.
Place the brush (A) or the pad-holder (B) under the deck (18).
5.
Lower the deck on the brush/pad-holder by pressing the pedal (11).
6.
(Only for
BA 451D and BA 531D): Insert the ignition key (80) and turn it to "I".
7.
Press the brush/pad-holder and vacuum system switch (71).
8.
Slightly press the paddle (3) forward to engage the brush/pad-holder, then release it. If necessary, repeat the procedure until
the brush/pad-holder is engaged.
WARNING!
(Only for BA 451D and BA 531D): Do not press the paddle (3) completely, otherwise the machine will start
moving.
A slight pressure on the paddle is enough to engage the brush/pad-holder and to turn on the relevant motor.
9.
To remove the brush/pad-holder, the deck must be lifted by pressing the pedal (11), then press the switch (75) (if equipped)
and wait for the brush/pad-holder to fall on the fl oor.
(Only for BA 451D and BA 531D): Insert the ignition key (80) and turn it to "0".
(Only for BA 451 and BA 531): Press the switch (71).
If the machine is not equipped with the automatic release system (switch 75), manually remove the brush/pad-holder from the
hub, by turning it in the opposite direction to the normal rotation direction.
