Tighten the housing nut using the strap wrench until a gap of 0.5 to 1 mm is achieved between the Valve body and the housing
nut and the semicircular indicator on the housing nut is aligned with the friction lock on the Valve body.

Replacing the Gaskets

Only for option "pressure-proof housing".
WARNING!
Leaking gasket!
Danger of injury due to escaping medium because of damage, aged or incorrectly lubricated gaskets.
► Store gaskets if possible in a cool (room temperature), dry and dark place.
► Before installing them, the gaskets have to be checked on possible aging damages, such as fissures and hardenings.
► Regularly inspect for damage and replace gaskets if necessary.
► Lubricate the gaskets with silicone or Polyol based grease. Do not use mineral oil-based greases or Vaseline (Petrolatum).
► Observe the special manufacturers notes for paint-compatible valves (LABS cleaned).
1.
Drain the pipe and depressurize it.
2.
If necessary, unlock the handwheel (press in the latch).
3.
Move valve to "OPEN" position.
4.
Loosening of the handwheel fixation: Press screwdriver (Philips, Pozidriv, TORX max. Ø 4mm) firmly into the largest round ope-
ning of the handwheel.
5.
Remove the screwdriver and handwheel. Pull out the screwdriver.
6.
Carefully unscrew the housing nut using a strap wrench (available separately). The unlatching of the friction lock is clearly au-
dible when opened with the strap wrench.
CAUTION!
Incorrect tool for housing nut!
The use of incompatible tools can damage the housing nut. Escaping medium can cause personal injury and damage to property.
► Only open and close the housing nut with a strap wrench or hook wrench.
