becomes overloaded. If this occurs, wait a few
seconds for the cut out to reset and then use a
lighter cuting action.
• Only use batteries and chargers supplied by Gtech.
• Never modify the charger in any way.
• The charger has been designed for a specific
voltage. Always check that the mains voltage is the
same as that stated on the rating plate.
• A charger that is suitable for one type of battery
pack may create a risk of fire when used with
another battery pack; never use the charger
with another appliance or attempt to charge this
product with another charger.
• Before use, check the charger cord for signs of
damage or ageing. A damaged or entangled
charger cord increases the risk of fire and electric
shock.
• Do not abuse the charger cord.
• Never carry the charger by the cord.
• Do not pull the cord to disconnect from a socket;
grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.
• Don't wrap the cord around the charger when
storing.
• The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is
damaged the charger should be discarded and
replaced.
• Do not handle the charger or the appliance with
wet hands.
• Keep the charger cord away from heat, oil, sharp
edges or moving parts.
• Do not use the charger in moist or wet conditions
or outdoors.
• Do not use a damaged charger.
• Never open the charger.

Battery safety:

• Use only with the battery pack supplied.
• This appliance includes Li-Ion batteries; do
not incinerate batteries or expose to high
temperatures, as they may explode.
• Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation
or burns.
• In an emergency situation contact professional
help immediately!
• Leaks from the battery cells can occur under
extreme conditions. Do not touch any liquid that
leaks from the battery. If the liquid gets on the
skin wash immediately with soap and water. If the
liquid gets into the eyes, flush them immediately
with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and
seek medical attention. Wear gloves to handle the
battery and dispose of immediately in accordance
with local regulations.
• Do not use a battery pack that is damaged or
modified.
• Do not open or crush the battery.
• Do not immerse the battery in water or any other
fluids.
• Do not short the positive and negative contacts.
• When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away
from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other
small metal objects that could make a connection
from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery
terminals may cause burns or fire.
• Protect the battery against excessive temperatures
and fire.
• Do not charge the battery when the surrounding
air temperature or the battery pack is below 0°C or
above 35°C.
• Do not store the battery outside or in cold
conditions for prolonged periods of time,
especially over the winter months.
• After heavy use or in high temperatures, the battery
may become warm. Allow the product to cool for
30 minutes before charging.
• Unplug the charger from the mains and battery
when fully charged.
• Do not dispose of the battery pack into household
waste, fire or water. The battery pack should
be collected, recycled or disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner. Discharge the
battery pack by operating the product. Remove
the battery pack from the housing and cover the
battery pack connections with heavy duty tape
to prevent a short circuit and energy discharge.
Do not attempt to open or remove any of the
components.
• Do not use trimmer continuously with multiple
batteries without a minimum of 60 minutes of rest
time in between uses.
Training:
• Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar with the
controls and the correct use of the hedge trimmer.
• Never allow children or people unfamiliar with
these instructions to use the hedge trimmer. Local
regulations can restrict the age of the operator.
• Keep in mind that the operator or user is
responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to
other people or their property.
Preparation:
• Before use, always visually inspect the machine
for damage and damaged, missing or misplaced
guards or shields.
• Never operate the machine while people,
especially children, or pets are nearby.
Operation
• Wear eye protection and stout shoes at all times
while operating the machine. Use protective
personal equipment such as safety glasses, non-
