Property damage due to improper
handling
Worktop damage due to improper handling
▪
Improper handling can damage surfaces, cause scratch-
ing and reduce the quality of the worktop.
–
To prevent scratching and damage of the worktop, do
not use it as a cutting surface. Always use a cutting
board.
–
Never put hot pots or pans directly on the worktop.
Always use a trivet.
In general, the underside of china and earthenware
–
crockery is very rough and can damage worktops ir-
reparably. Avoid sliding these objects on worktops.
–
Protect edges, joints, glued transitions and cut-outs in
the worktop against heat and standing water. Remove
water residues quickly to prevent swelling damage.
Property damage due to improper room climate
▪
Improper room climate can result in dry cracking or
swelling damage to materials.
–
Ensure a regulated room climate. Maintain a relative
humidity level of 45 - 55% and a temperature of 18 -
22 C.
–
Ventilate all rooms regularly. During the winter you can
use air humidifiers.

Material damage due to humidity
▪
Use of excess water when cleaning or steam escaping
from heat-generating electrical appliances may cause
permanent damage to the furniture including swelling.
–
When cooking, ensure sufficient ventilation; use an
extractor hood if available and switch it on to an ap-
propriate power level prior to cooking. Ensure that it
remains running for an appropriate period of time af-
ter you have finished cooking. Adhere to manufactured
documentation of the extractor hood.
–
Rub steam precipitation occurring at neighbouring
cabinets dry.
–
Do not hang any cloths on grips.
–
Do not operate steam generating household applianc-
es, such as a coffee machine, the water cattle or mul-
tifunctional food processors under overhead cabinetry,
▪
Outflowing air and moisture from open dishwashers/
oven doors cause heat damage and swelling to neigh-
bouring furniture parts.
–
Open the dishwasher approximately 20 minutes after
the program has elapsed so that the steam can con-
dense within the apparatus.
–
Deactivate the automatic door opening function in the
case of dishwashers.
–
Ensure that only dry dishes are put away into the cab-
inet units.
Do not leave the dishwasher/oven door slightly open
–
for the sake of ventilation.
–
Close the oven door quickly after oven use.
