Safety
Mechanical hazards
▪
Carelessness when using the furniture can cause pinch-
ing or impacts.
▪
Fingers can become jammed in drawers and doors; you
can hit your head on furniture edges.
–
Always ensure that all drawers, doors and flaps are
closed.
–
Be careful of edges and do not allow children to ram-
page near the product.
▪
Risk of injury due to falling or toppling furniture.
–
Never remove safety installations (e.g., toppling pre-
vention devices of the manufacturer)
–
Do not exceed the maximum loading of the furniture
(see page 29).
Thermal hazards
▪
Surfaces could be heated up or still hot in some usages
(e.g. cooking). This could cause burns or fire damages.
–
Do not use electrical equipment in furniture with
closed doors or in drawers.
–
Before cleaning, allow electronic devices/luminaires to
cool.
–
Do not cover integrated luminaires with objects and do
not hang insulating/damping material or other similar
materials on the luminaires.

Hazards due to carbon monoxide
▪
During simultaneous operation of a furnace/fireplace
that depends on room ventilation (e.g., a gas boiler,
charcoal oven) and an extractor hood, it is possible for
carbon monoxide to escape from the furnace/fireplace.
Due to this, carbon monoxide can penetrate into living
areas and result in the danger of suffocation.
Ensure the flow of sufficient fresh air from outdoors.
–
Obtain approvals for use and requirements for ensur-
–
ing pressure equalisation via chimney sweepers.
Electrical hazards
▪
All work on the electrical equipment of the furniture
may only be carried out by skilled employees.
–
Only perform repair work with the power plug pulled
out.
▪
Check electrical equipment regularly.
–
Attach loose connections again and renew damaged
lines or cable immediately.
▪
Risk of injury from electric shock.
–
Never clean electrical equipment using water or simi-
lar liquids.
–
Do not put objects into electrical equipment.
–
Only operate luminaires with corresponding protective
cover.
