• Before pressing the on/off switch, make sure that the
saw blade is correctly fitted, and that moving parts
run smoothly.
• Before connecting the machine, make certain that
the data on the type plate matches with the mains
power data.
• Only connect the machine to a correctly installed
protective contact socket, with fuse protection of at
least 10 A.
8.2 Assembling the saw on a workbench, Fig. 5
• The tools / small parts required for assembly on a
workbench were not supplied with the saw.
• A noise-reducing foam rubber underlay is also not
supplied with the saw, we strongly recommend the
use of the same to keep vibration and noise levels
low. Ideal size 400 x 240 mm.
• However, use at least equipment of the following
size:
E – Saw body
F – Foam rubber underlay
G – Work table
H – Flat seal
I – Washer
J – Hexagonal nut
K – Counternut
L – Hexagonal nuts
You require the following for assembly:
• 4 hexagonal screws 6 mm x length
• 4 flat gaskets (7 mm)
• 4 washers (7 mm)
• 8 hexagonal nuts (6 mm)
The length of the screws to be used vary depending on
the thickness of the tabletop.
WARNING
Risk of injury! Disconnect the mains plug on the scroll
saw before all assembly work.
1.
Mount the scroll saw on a solid wooden work-
bench. This way, a high noise level due to vibra-
tions can be avoided.
2.
Drill the 4 holes (diameter 8 mm) into the work-
bench.
3.
Screw the scroll saw to the work table with the hex-
agonal bolts.
4.
Tighten the hexagonal nuts.

Assembly

WARNING
Risk of injury! Disconnect the mains plug on the
scroll saw before all assembly work.
9.1 Setting the saw table, Fig. 2
Setting up the angle scale
• Loosen the star grip (A) and bring the saw table (B)
to a right angle (C) to the saw blade.
• Use a 90° angle to measure the right angle between
the sheet and the table. The saw blade should be
close to the 90° angle.
• When the distance between the blade and the 90°
angle is minimal, close the star grip again.
Now the table should be at 90° to the saw blade.
• Open the screw (D) and bring the pointer to the ze-
ro position. Tighten up the screw. Please note: The
angle scale is a helpful additional part, but should
not be used for precision work. Use scrap wood for
some saw samples; readjust the table if necessary.
Reminder: The table must not rest against the mo-
tor block. This can cause unwanted noises.
Horizontal saw table and angled cuts, Fig. 2+3
• The saw table can be tilted 45° to the left or left in
a horizontal position.
• Under the worktable you will find the angle scale for
reading off the approximate angle of inclination. For
more precise adjustment, use scrap wood for some
saw tests; readjust the table if necessary.
9.2 Installation of the blade guard, Fig. 4
Mount the blade guard on the holder as shown in the
figure. Secure the screw with a nut and a washer.
• Lift the saw by the frame and base and place it on
the workbench.
• Familiarise yourself with the controls and features
of the saw.
9.3 Replacing the saw blades
WARNING: To avoid injury from unintentional
start-up of the saw, switch off the saw and discon-
nect the mains plug before starting to install saw
blades.
A. Flat saw blades Fig. 6
For flat saw blades use the adapters.
The distance is determined in the setting gauge.
The saw blade is fixed with the Allen screws.
