11. Tips

Functionality test

Before the start of each repair, check that all the devices and materials required for the repair are fully functional.
Ensure complete curing
Make sure that the respective StoneLux
®
2.0 repair material has fully cured for each light-curing process.
This will ensure colour and material stability.
Consider curing depths
Consider the various maximum curing depths for each material colour that can be achieved at the maximum with 15 seconds
®
of exposure to the blue:tron
device. For details see section 6, page 21
Ensure sharp blades
Carefully remove any contaminants from the planer blade with a cleaning brush before each use.
Make sure the planer blade is well sharpened. If the sharpness decreases, use the other side of the double-sided blade.
When used: insert replacement blade.
Do not touch with your fingers
Avoid touching the damaged area with your fingers after the processing step in section 2, page 8
Protect from exposure to light
Cover repair sites that have been filled with StoneLux
®
2.0 repair materials but have not yet been cured with an
orange protective hood. This will prevent unintended curing of the StoneLux
®
2.0 repair material. After use, remove the
cannulas and attach the cap.
Pay attention to processing temperature
®
Always apply the StoneLux
2.0 repair materials at temperature level, i.e. 15 °C - 28 °C.
®
If StoneLux
2.0 repair sites and materials have cooled down a lot, warm them up to room temperature before application.
Ensure repair sites are free of dust
®
Carefully blow loose parts and dust from the damaged area with bellows before using the StoneLux
2.0 repair materials.
