4.1

Function

The BVS ID is a Ident sensor for optical identifications of codes. With the Gigabit LAN interface, the
Ident sensor can be configured.
The host industrial system can via IO-Link or TCP / UDP configure, trigger or receiver results of the inspection.
Via REST API or MQTT product information can be exchanged. Additionally, there are condition monitoring
parameters available which allows the user to optimize the production processes. Each inspection can produce
test reports stored automatically in the customer environment.
The product is suitable for use in harsh industrial environments (IP67, standard M12 industry plug connections,
standardized industry network connections). Since the complete software ("SensorApp") is located on the BVS
ID itself, no external software is required for the configuration and monitor display. The SensorApp is configured
through an Auto Setup process, which automatically sets the brightness, the focus, and the code type. Using a
web browser, the user can easily connect with the SensorApp of the BVS ID and adapt the configuration if
required.
4.2

Product variants

The BVS ID has been designed in accordance with current, industrial standards:
• Image acquisition: Liquid lens (9.6 mm focal length) for autofocus functionality; 1280 x 960 pixel;
monochrome sensor
• Integrated IO-Link 1.1 slave via M12 plug connector
• LAN connection via Gigabit Ethernet M12
• Digital input/output channels for NPN and PNP connections
Optionally:
• Configuration/monitoring via web browser
