2.7.3 To set a lockbolt

• Insert the pin in the hole of the material to be joined.
• Fit the collar on the pin on the side opposite the head.
• Slide the lockbolt setting tool onto the pin and push in until both the collar and the pin rest
on the material.
• Setting is started by pressing the trigger.
• The grip mechanism automatically moves back into the initial position when the trigger is
released.
• The broken off pin is transferred into the spent pin container by inserting another lockbolt
and tilting the tool back.
• The lockbolt setting tool is equipped with an overload protection function. When overload-
ed, the setting procedure is interrupted and the red indicator light comes on. In this case,
you must release the trigger to allow the lockbolt setting tool to return to its initial setting.
• The battery maintains a relatively constant power output over the period of use, until it
suddenly drops off so that only 2 - 3 more lockbolts can be set.

2.7.4 Setting a KOENIG-EXPANDER

a. Pressing and holding the actuation button:
Pressing and holding the actuation button starts the setting process. The extraction process
stops automatically when the rear end position is reached. The lockbolt setting tool automati-
cally re-assumes the front starting position only when the actuation button is released.
b. Tapping the actuation button:
The setting process is triggered by briefly tapping and immediately releasing the actuation
button. As soon as the bolt breaks off, the lockbolt setting tool stops and automatically returns
to the front starting position.
