Start-up

Before starting the lockbolt setting tool, read and observe the operating instructions and
safety information and keep in a safe place. Insert fully charged battery in correct position into
lockbolt setting tool.
Caution:
The air inlets for the motor should not be obstructed; do not insert any objects into
them.

2.7.1 To attach spent pin container

Fully screw on spent pin container by turning clockwise.

2.7.2 To select and change the grip mechanism

The grip mechanism must be selected from the table under Point 2.6.
• Remove the battery from the lockbolt setting tool.
• Unscrew steel head sleeve (B) and nosepiece (A) with WAF 24 open-ended spanner and
clean.
• While bracing the adapter (G) with a WAF 14 open-ended spanner, unscrew grip jaw
housing (C) with a WAF 14 open-ended spanner.

• Remove grip jaws (D) from grip jaw housing (C).
Change on PowerBird
• Remove grip jaws (D) and support ring (F) from grip jaw housing (C).
Change on PowerBird
• Remove grip jaws (D) and support ring (E & F) from grip jaw housing (C).
Change on PowerBird
• Remove grip jaws (D) and support ring (F) from grip jaw housing (C).
Grease the outer and inner surfaces of grip jaw housing (C).
After selecting the grip mechanism, fit all parts in reverse order and screw together.
