Information concerning airborne noise and vibration
The measured values were determined according to
EN60745 and declared in accordance with ISO 4871.
Measured A-weighted sound power level: 96 dB (A)
Measured A-weighted sound pressure level: 85 dB (A)
Uncertainty K: 3 dB (A).
Wear hearing protection.
Vibration total values (triax vector sum) determined
according to EN60745.
Cutting metal:
Vibration emission value
Uncertainty K = 1.5 m/s

TROUBLESHOOTING
Use the inspections in the table below if the tool does not operate normally. If this does not remedy the problem, consult your
dealer or the HiKOKI Authorized Service Center.
1. Power tool
Symptom
The unit does not run/is
stopped
The unit has stopped
suddenly
The band saw blade has
come loose
The band saw blade is
becoming bound in the
workpiece
Cutting precision is poor
a
h = 2.5 m/s
2
Possible cause
The battery capacity is depleted
The unit is overloaded
The storage battery is overheated
There is oil or grime adhering to the band
saw blade or workpiece
The band saw blade is not installed correctly
A band saw blade operating speed
appropriate for the workpiece is not being
used
The band saw blade is worn away
A band saw blade operating speed
appropriate for the workpiece is not being
used
The band saw blade is not installed correctly
The gaps between the band saw blade ball
bearing supports have become wide
A band saw blade that is not authorized by
the manufacturer is being used
Suffi cient warm-up cuts have not been
performed
The declared vibration total value has been measured in
accordance with a standard test method and may be used
for comparing one tool with another.
It may also be used in a preliminary assessment of exposure.
WARNING
○ The vibration emission during actual use of the power
tool can diff er from the declared total value depending in
the ways in which the tool is used.
○ Identify safety measures to protect the operator that
are based on an estimation of exposure in the actual
conditions of use (taking account of all parts of the
operating cycle such as the times when the tool is
switched off and when it is running idle in addition to the
trigger time).
NOTE
Due to HiKOKI's continuing program of research and
development, the specifi cations herein are subject to
change without prior notice.
Charge the storage battery.
Get rid of the cause of the large load.
Allow the storage battery to cool suffi ciently.
Wipe off oil or grime that is adhering to the
band saw blade or workpiece.
Install the band saw blade correctly.
(See "Replacing the band saw blade")
Select the correct band saw blade operating
speed.
(See "Adjusting operating speed")
Replace the band saw blade with a new
one.
Select the correct band saw blade operating
speed.
(See "Adjusting operating speed")
Install the band saw blade correctly.
(See "Replacing the band saw blade")
Correctly adjust the gaps.
(See "Inspection of band saw blade ball
bearing supports and adjustment of gaps")
Use a band saw blade that is authorized by
the manufacturer.
With the band saw blade operating speed
setting dial set to "1", perform 1 or 2 warm-
up cuts with a light cutting load such as a
cylindrical rod (carbon steel, etc.) with an
outer diameter of 20 mm or less.
